Dr. Jairo Sousa

Dr. Jairo Sousa holds Master's and Doctorate degrees in Instrumental Conducting (orchestra) from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK.

During his training at the University of Oklahoma in 1995-2001, Dr. Sousa led the orchestra in numerous concerts, recitals, and staged works, including musicals, the opera the Barber of Seville, and the Nutcracker Ballet.

​

Dr. Sousa also served as the Associate Orchestra Director at First Baptist Church Norman for several years while in Oklahoma.

​

Dr. Sousa is currently the director of choirs and orchestras and the Associate Director of Worship Arts at Valley Community Baptist Church in Avon, CT, USA.
